Demolition is underway in two phases on the 44-hectare former railway site. Plans include around 6,500 apartments, workplaces and a ten-hectare Grüne Mitte. Construction of the first residential buildings is due to start in 2027; the neighbourhood will be developed by 2035.
Preparatory building work is underway. The start of the first residential buildings remains planned for 2027; this is not taken to mean that housing construction is already underway.
